You know sometimes the stars and planets align just perfectly on my world to make decisions seem crystal clear. I have one week left before my Verizon Wireless Pre Plus 30 days is up and T-Mobile is releasing the HTC HD2 this week so I have been struggling with what to do with my devices. Sprint and HTC made my choice dead simple today with the announcement of the upcoming HTC EVO 4G. The device takes everything I loved about the HTC HD2, the Google Nexus One, the HTC Hero, and Sprint Overdrive and combines it into one magical package. The HTC EVO 4G looks like the perfect device for power users like me who want the Exchange support of Sense, extremely capable Gmail and Google integration, and the fastest wireless network available in my area. My Palm Pre Plus will be going back to Verizon this week.

The HTC Sprint 4G includes the following specifications:

* 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor
* 8.0 megapixel camer with HD-capable video and front facing 1.3 megapixel camera
* Integrated 4G radio with hotspot capability to share with up to eight devices
* 4.3 inch capacitive touchscreen display

* Integrated kickstand for viewing movie content

This device will let me do everything I ever wanted on a mobile phone and also let me share my 4G connection with my new iPad. I am interested in seeing if we will be able to use that forward facing camera too.

I also look forward to having a reasonable Sprint plan where you get calls and data at the lowest price around. I get an amazing 4G signal here in my area and cannot wait for the release of this device. The HTC EVO 4G is coming this Summer and I will be first in line to buy one, no matter what it costs.

I think webOS is very good (maybe even better than Android), but the hardware is lackluster and Palm needs to take action now. I will miss the webOS Synergy experience, the great games, and other applications, but the Sprint EVO is just too good of a device for someone like me not to make the move to. Matthew Miller
